Meet Our Team
Cortney Banker, RN, CALD, CPD
Executive Director of Resident Care
"Since becoming an RN in 2008 my passion is to work with the elderly. Alzheimer's and dementia residents hold a special place in my heart. I am married with three very active boys."
Life Enrichment Director
"I received my Bachelor's degree in Music Education at Oakland University; however, I wanted the tools to help people more through music. I chose to continue my education at Western Michigan University where I received a Masters Degree in Music Therapy. As a child living in the Metro Detroit area, I would often visit my great Aunt Mable. I believe this is where my love of spending time with the elderly started. Out of the 6 years I have worked in the health care field, between my Life Enrichment and Caregiver positions, I have worked in memory care for approximately 4 years."
"Prior to working at Reflections Memory Care, I was a stay at home mother to my 2 daughters because my husband was in the Marine Corps. Once we moved back to Michigan I knew I wanted to work in an environment where I was able to help and take care of others. I started at Reflections as an aide, worked my way up to a Medication Technician, then to a Med Room Manager and now the Office Manager. I have loved every step of the way and the opportunities it has given me to grow as an individual and a team player. Outside of my "day job" I enjoy watching my teenage daughters dance and play softball and spend as much time as possible traveling."
Community Relations Director
"My entire career has been in the medical field. A few years ago a fire ignited when I began working in a rehab facility that also had a memory care building. Helping guide families through the process of choosing the correct living situation fills my heart with such joy. When I am not helping other families, I love to spend time with our family either on our farm or up north at the cabin exploring. We have 6 children and 6 amazing grandchildren."
Mashion Zimmer, RN
“Healthcare has always been my passion. I worked as a CNA for 7 years in a long-term care facility before going to KCC to obtain my nursing license. Prior to joining the Reflections Team, I worked as an RN in my local hospital. I liked the hospital but my heart has always been caring for those who have Alzheimer's and dementia. I genuinely feel a sense of fulfillment advocating for our residents on behalf of their families. My husband, Nick, and I have three boys, Carson, Kai, and Keith. I am very fortunate to have such an amazing family and great friends."
"I joined the Reflection's family and began overseeing the dietary department in May 2019. My passion for food service started as a junior high school student serving students lunch. I’m the proud mother to two very fine young men and the happy wife to Calvin. Together we share 5 grandchildren and 1 fur baby, Daisy May (dog). In our spare time, you can find us in our park-like backyard situated on the Wabasscon Creek. I have a servant's heart and love the elderly."
